Jeff Skigan-Presidents Report-There is a handout for the DC United Residential Camp.  This is the time of year for nominations.  Jim Ferguson at 202-726-3834 or braltr@aol.com is again heading the committee.  Please let him know if you are interested.

June 21st is NCSL night at DC United.  There are handouts and it will be on the website.

Of interest to all but mainly for the Va clubs and teams is the former Lorton site, now called Laurel Hill.  The federal government has given the land to Fairfax County who is turning the land over to the Fairfax Co. Park Authority and No. Va. Park Authority.  It consists of 2140 acres.  There are a number of different groups that want a piece of this.   VYSA has set aside $1,000,000. for the project.   This is an important time for us to get involved.  Please begin to get grassroots support for the soccer complex.  This is the time to get clubs and players to e-mail these people talking about VYSA and their plan for 32 rectangular fields.  The master draft plan will be done by the end of summer, the final plan done and approved by December.

The United States Soccer Foundation has a website (www.ussoccerfoundation.org) that will calculate the economic impact to businesses of your tournament.

NCSL owns a number of portable goals.  They have been used for No. District ODP and the Capital Cup.   If your club in interested in portable goals complete with nets, send Jeff an e-mail at jskigan@aol.com.  They are the old Qwik goals with metal pipes in sections.  They probably have at least 10.

We need for someone to investigate advertising on our web site as a way to make money.  If anyone is interested, please see Jeff after the meeting.

We need to get games played.  Please give every consideration to playing the games if possible.  If a game has not been played by June 15, it is a no game.
